Tea is made only from the bud and the process followed as oxidized black tea.
Process
– Receiving green leaf (Very fine leaf, 1 or 2 leaf & bud) of selected varities
– Withering (partial removing of moisture of the leaf)
– Rolling (cell break, physical change)
– Oxidation/Fermentation (change colour and flavor)
– Drying (retaining moisture less than 4%)
– Grading (sizing according to standard grade)
– Sorting (removal of unwanted materials)
– Bulking & Packing (packed in food safety paper bags/box)
– Sampling
– Storage
Along with some critical processes are incorporated along the way to make the tea special.
